Marlowe Aitken is a Toronto-based literary editor and YA-fiction reviewer with more than a decade on the YA and contemporary-fiction trade-press beat. Her reviewing has appeared in literary-review periodicals and book-trade publications across North America. She runs Rather Be Reading as a deliberately small editorial bulletin in the spirit of trade-press literary reviewing — book reviews, author profiles, genre essays, and reading-life columns intended for serious lay readers, librarians, bookstore-buyers, and the broader bookish readership that the major review outlets do not consistently serve.
