Planner Love: April 2016

Planner Love

I usually post Planner Love on the first Saturday of the month, but I forgot to push the schedule button and found it sitting in my drafts.

There were a lot of good sales in Etsy sticker shops in April, and even though I decided I wanted to make more of my own stickers, I found myself buying a lot of kits. (The baseball stickers were all purchased.) It really is a lot more convenient since I didn’t yet have a Silhouette Portrait to cut the stickers for me. (Notice I said “didn’t.” I bought one at the end of the month! I’m still learning to use it but I think I am going to love it!) Even without the cutting machine, I decided to branch out and make more of my own, like the Currently Reading sticker shown here. I actually saw similar ones in an Etsy shop and almost bought a sheet. But it only had eight stickers on it, and I read so much it wouldn’t make sense to keep buying them, so I made my own. And I like mine even better than the ones I almost bought — AND I made matching “library books due” stickers!

This is another baseball week. Monday was the Cardinals’ home opener and I hadn’t been able to find many baseball related sticker so I decided to make my own. I really like the weekend banner I made. Most of the ones you can buy are not curved as much as this one.

This is my Earth Day week kit, with stickers from an Etsy shop. I love the colors! I think this is the first kit I’ve used that came with washi stickers for the bottom. I kind of like using my own washi tape collection, but sometimes it’s hard to find a good match for the colors and theme.

I have been saving this Nancy Drew kit for months. It’s one of the first ones I bought, back in January I think. It’s glossy and I prefer matte but I’m a huge Nancy Drew fan so I had to have it. I saved it for so long because I wanted to use it on the anniversary of the publication of the first Nancy Drew books, which was on April 28, 1930.

  1. As always, I love your planner pages. I was about to say how much I like the top page with all the baseball stickers when I saw the second page with the Arch and the Cardinals stickers! Love them! I don’t think I realized we are ‘neighbors’!
