Must Read in 2016

Must Read 2016 Challenge

Lauren at Bookmark Lit is hosting a very informal challenge called Must Read in 2016. I meant to sign up for this earlier but it got away from me until I was reviewing a book I had wanted to read in the past but didn’t get around to until now.

In going through those WoW posts, I noticed a few books that I have read but didn’t write reviews for, a few I checked out of the library but returned unread (due to time), and a few that I probably don’t want to read anymore. But the thing I noticed the most is that there are more books from my WoW posts that I haven’t read than that I have.

Obviously I’m not going to try to read all of those or I wouldn’t have time to read much else. I don’t actually consider it a “Must Read in 2016” list. This just gives me an idea of what to read when I’m in between books and wondering what to read next. I have added all of them, including the books I already own (except two the library doesn’t have and the one I’ve read and reviewed but haven’t posted yet), to a list in my library account to make it easier to request.

  1. I found the same thing, when I went back to look at previous WoW posts a lot of the books I was waiting for I either did not read, or don’t want to read anymore. Not all by any means, but a substantial amount. This looks like a fun challenge and I see several books on your list I was curious about or wanted to read.

  2. Oh, man, if I did this list it would be sooooo long! I like the idea of basically setting your own reading challenge, though!

  3. I’m really tempted join in….but I already have some many challenges that I know I won’t complete….and so many books on my shelf that I probably won’t get a chance to read. I think going back and looking at everything I’d hoped to get to but didn’t just might overwhelm me.

    • I didn’t even include all those Top Ten Tuesday posts that talk about upcoming books (that are now released)! I know I usually try to vary the books somewhat so I’m not posting about the same books over and over.
