I’ve been working through Make WordPress Your Bitch, a free course from Ashley at Nose Graze. I’m only halfway through but I recommend it. Even if you think you know all of it, or most of it, it might encourage you to do some maintenance on your blog like I did. I already knew I wanted to streamline my categories, but I kept putting it off until I went through that section in Make Your WordPress Your Bitch. It only took me about an hour to do and that’s one thing I can check off my mental checklist for blog maintenance.
Another thing I did this week, unrelated to Make WordPress Your Bitch, was catch up with cross-posting my reviews to Goodreads and Tumblr. I thought I was much further behind than I was, so it was a relief to get back into August 2014 and see that I had already done those. Yes, I had a year’s worth of cross-posting to do. It’s easy to let it slip. I should have posted to Amazon and Barnes & Noble at the same time, but it took me three days as it was so I’m glad I didn’t. Although sometimes authors or blog tours ask for it, those sites aren’t really priorities for me.
