Top Ten Hyped Books I’ve Never Read
50 Shades of Grey just isn’t my thing. Gone Girl sounds like something I would like, but I’ll probably just see the movie. The Book Thief sounds like a book I would hate then feel bad about (as opposed to just hating) because it’s about such an important topic. City of Bones is on the list because it doesn’t sounds like something I would like and, more importantly, because it’s written by Cassandra Clare, who I won’t read.
I probably never would have given We Were Liars a single thought it if hadn’t been so hyped last year. I’m still not that interested, but I’m kind of curious. So, maybe. I downloaded free audiobook (from Sync) of Daughter of Smoke and Bone several years ago. It hasn’t interested me enough to listen to more than a few minutes of it yet, but if I’m someday struck with the desire, I have it. I was really excited for Allegiant when it first came out, but then negative reviews started rolling in and I got spoiled. And while the spoiler itself doesn’t ruin it for me, just knowing the ending means I’m no longer dying to read it the way I was. I don’t care much for high fantasy books, but the hype surrounding The Winner’s Curse made me want to read it.
Another high fantasy, Snow Like Ashes sounds more interesting than The Winner’s Curse. So much so that I bought the audiobook. I haven’t listened to it, but paying for it makes me more likely to listen to it. The 5th Wave was super hyped when I first started blogging. I just haven’t gotten around to it yet.
