Money Matters: May 2015

I’ve seen other bloggers, like Berls at Fantasy is More Fun and Felicia at The Geeky Blogger’s Book Blog, with book budget posts. It made me curious how much I’m spending on books each year. I have a rough idea, because I have an entertainment budget, but I’d like to get more detailed. I’m not going to try to stick to a set goal the way Berls and Felicia do, but it might end up making me think twice about buying a book if I know I have to be accountable for it here. Or maybe not!

I’ll be posting an update of the previous month’s spending on the second Saturday of each month. This is a catch-up post because I didn’t post last month.

Book Acquisitions – May 2015

Purchased Audiobooks
Audible costs me $14.95 for 1 credit per month. I can roll over up to 6 credits, so I might not always use my credit each month. I currently have 1 credit.

Frostfire by Amanda Hocking

Free Books
Robin: Lady of Legend by RM ArceJaeger Beautiful Demons box set by Sarra Cannon The Scavengers by Gen Griffin The Guys are Props Club by Ingrid Seymour Trying Not to Love You by Megan Smith

Free Audiobooks
I’ve been downloading free audiobooks from SYNC every summer since before I started blogging. I haven’t been very impressed by their titles the past few years, but I do manage to find a few that interest me. Sometimes I download them if I have even the slightest bit of interest because free.

  1. This is a great idea, although I’m afraid to know how much I spend on books! Way too much, I’m sure. Although I’ve saved a bit by buying for Kindl rather than print all the time…

Robin Lady of Legend looks kinda interesting, a new take on that? And Wendy Mass looks familiar, I think we have some of hers around here. Have a great 4th of July!!
