  1. When I see some people borrowing books at my library and in which state the books can be returned, I’m not surprised this one “only” smelled like weed, lol ! I remember once seeing a cockroach coming out of one of the returned book and the reader, not ashamed at all, laughing about this. I didn’t ! People eat on books, smoke and put out their cigarettes on them, some ever read at candle light (wax spots on the covers !). Poor books. And poor next readers 😉 Have a great week !

  2. That’s kind of why I hate borrowing books from the library. People don’t take care of them because it’s not technically theirs! I always feel so sorry for the person who has to read the book after those people, especially if that person is me 🙂 Lovely post, have a nice week!

    • I’ve only had my library card since January but this is the first one I’ve had a problem with. I just hope they don’t think it’s from me when I return it! It might rain today so I’m not going to take the chance with leaving it outside.

  3. I really want to read the walking dead books. I have one of them but just haven’t got around to them.

    • I’ve been wanting to read them for awhile. I didn’t even think of trying the library until I saw a shelf of graphic novels above the YA books. My library doesn’t have The Walking Dead but I was able to get it ordered from another library. I don’t want to know what happens ahead of where the show is, but I’d like to see what differences there are from the parts the show has already covered.

  4. They should make Febreze for books. That would be handy.

  5. When I get a book that smells funny, I put a fabric softener sheet in a zipklock bag, along with the boo, and let it sit overnight. It usually absorbs the smell as will baking soda.
The Walking Dead is my favorite show and I can’t believe I haven’t read the books yet. I’ll have to check on Amazon and see if they have a complete set. Of course, I wouldn’t be able to read them until the show is over. I’d spoil it! LOL

    • I don’t use dryer sheets or I might give it a try. I’ve put it outside and will leave it there for a few hours. If not I’ll probably just finish it and return it when I go back this week. I’m over halfway done. The smell is strong but it hasn’t stopped me from reading it.

They are graphic novels and they’re still being published. The one I have is the first twelve issues. I think I heard on a podcast last week that the events from that episode were in issue 71. So I can read up to about 50-60 and be safe, I’d say. I don’t want to be spoiled either.

  6. I’m reading The Walking Dead comics as well since I am such a huge fan of the show. I actually just finished the 4th volume not too long ago so I need to request the 5th one from the library soon. Do you watch the show as well? Have a great week and happy reading!

  7. That sounds annoying you got a weed smelling book fro the library. It’s a shame some people aren’t more carefull with library books. I hope you can get rid of the stench soon.

  8. Awesome haul! I have been trying to read way more graphic novels and comics lately, because I’ve found that I really adore them. I’m definitely going to have to pick up the Walking Dead ones! I Hope you have a great week. 🙂
