Book Blogger Organization Challenge: February Wrapup

Book Blogger Organization Challenge

I’m participating in the Book Blogger Organization Challenge, which runs from January 1 through June 30. The challenge will be focusing on different areas each month.

On Friday I will talk about March’s focus, but first let’s see how I did in February.

Sidebar & Footers
I got rid of my tag cloud and moved the tags and categories that I felt were important into my menu bar. That let me move my Midwestern Book Bloggers and Bloggers Commenting Back buttons to the footer. The menu bar is a little complicated with all the submenus, but I think I like it. I am still working on adding age range (YA/NA/MG/Adult) and genre tags to all of my old reviews. It’s a big project!

Clean up broken links
I ran a Broken Link Check and discovered 146 broken links. Of those, 112 were in the comments. I’m not going to go editing people’s comments, so those links are staying broken. I fixed or deleted the rest.

Update my review archive
I deleted my review archive. It hadn’t been updated since June 2014 because I hated updating it. So I got rid of it. Problem solved!

Add featured images to every post
I didn’t work on this at all. It’s another big project, so I am putting it off for now.

  1. Looks like you accomplished quite a bit. I’m not doing so well with this challenge.
BTW, I never knew about the Broken Link Checker….I’m going to try it out. Thanks!
