The Start of Me and You by Emery LordThe Start of Me and You by Emery Lord
Publication date: March 31, 2015

It’s been a year since it happened—when Paige Hancock’s first boyfriend died in an accident. After shutting out the world for two years, Paige is finally ready for a second chance at high school . . . and she has a plan. First: Get her old crush, Ryan Chase, to date her—the perfect way to convince everyone she’s back to normal. Next: Join a club—simple, it’s high school after all. But when Ryan’s sweet, nerdy cousin, Max, moves to town and recruits Paige for the Quiz Bowl team (of all things!) her perfect plan is thrown for a serious loop. Will Paige be able to face her fears and finally open herself up to the life she was meant to live?

I can’t believe I still haven’t read Open Road Summer, which came out last year, and now Emery Lord has another book coming out. I kind of doubt I’m going to get to ORS anytime soon, so this will probably be the first book of hers I read. I’ve heard nothing but good things about it!

  2. Great choice. I’m a sucker for a tragic back story. This author is new to me but sounds promising. Thanks for sharing must add to my list. Have a great week and happy reading. My WoW

  6. I read Open Road Summer last month, and it was so cute that it hurt. I hope you eventually get around to reading it. This one is also on my list, and I can’t wait to read it. It seems a lot more emotional than her debut, and I’m hoping that it’s a good sophomore novel.

    Happy Valentine’s Day!

    • I will get to it eventually, hopefully this summer! I remember how much I was looking forward to it and I just never around to it. I need to step back and read some of the books already on my TBR instead of adding new ones all the time.
