Weekly Rewind: December 21 – January 3

weeklyrewind

The Weekly Rewind is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

life
Like everyone else, I’ve had a busy past couple of weeks. I also took a little time off work, which was nice especially since it was my first bit of vacation time all year! I didn’t even take a whole week at a time though, just a couple of days here and a couple of days there. I spent my time visiting family and friends and working on the blog. I’m also busy with Midwestern Book Bloggers, which I decided I’d better start updating since I did volunteer to take it over! I updated the members list and I’m working on adding indie bookstores to the list that’s already there. If you know of any indies in the midwest, take a look and see if they’re on the list and if not, please leave a comment so I can add it. I have a few other ideas too, but I don’t want to work on everything at once and have them all half-finished.

@ rather be reading ya
I caught up with comments on December 31. I wanted to started out the year fresh. I’ll spend some time this morning working on the comments that came in yesterday and visiting blogs. That’s something I want to do more regularly. I wouldn’t be behind on comments all the time if I wasn’t so lazy at replying right away! I’m also trying to be more social on Twitter but I think I feel like I’m more social than I actually am. I’ve been busy joining challenges (some signup posts still to come) and I’m wondering how many is too many.

  1. Those are some fun books! I like the looks of The Forget Me Not Summer and Quarantine.

I’m also playing catch up and usually use Sunday to visit other blogs and chat. And I’m trying to decide which reading challenges to do besides my Goodreads one.

  2. Lots of great books. Enjoy

  3. You have some awesome books, I want to read Nightmares.

A bit of a break is nice I took off longer than I wanted to but I am back now and feeling reading for a good couple of weeks of serious blogging. I might start taking breaks every other month like for a couple days just so I don’t get burnt out because this little break was a good refresher 🙂

Have a great week, Jenna! Happy New Year!

  5. It’s difficult to decide when enough is enough, I joined 3 year long challenges beside the goodreads one and eventually decided that was enough for now as I didn’t do any last year and don’t want to overhwelm myself.
I hope you’ll enjoy your new books and happy new year!

  6. Happy New Year! Looks like you got a ton of new books- Forget Me Not Summer looks fun, and looks like a few thrillers in there too. Hope you had a good weekend, and enjoy your week.
