Weekly Rewind: November 9-15

The Weekly Rewind is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

I got my swap partner for the Chaotic Goddess 12 Days of Christmas Swap and it’s another book blogger: Lauren of Bookmark Lit! I had actually discovered her blog and started following her a week or so before we were paired up. We have a lot in common so this should be fun. I already bought a couple of her gifts.

The Ho-Ho-Ho Holiday Readathon was a lot of fun! I had three books one my goal list. I read the novella and the full-length book, and then ended up substituting a different book in for the book of short stories. I still hope to read that one before Christmas, but Kissing Snowflakes by Abby Sher caught my eye and I started that one instead. Look for those reviews in December. I’m using them for Blog Ahead.

  1. I enjoyed the HoHoHo readathon too, even though I didn’t read a lot. The ones I did read were good so I was happy with that. I did see some other holiday reads tha look good so that was a bonus too. 🙂

    Creed looks interesting.

  2. How fun your swap partner for the Chaotic Goddess 12 Days of Christmas Swap is a book blogger as well. I never heard of that swap, what does it entail? You buy things for each other and then send it?

Glad to hear the Ho-Ho-Ho Holiday Readathon, I am planning on finally trying out a readathon during the next Coyer. I always avoid them as I think it’s not for me, while in fact I never participated in one.

    • We have to buy 12 gifts for each other and mail them, then unwrap 1 each day leading up to Christmas. It’s my first swap and it’s a big one, but I’m having fun deciding what to buy for her.

I’m working on my COYER post right now! Most of their readathons (and readathons in general) don’t work for me because they’re on the weekends when I have work, but I’m going to try to do one.

  3. I didn’t participate in the HoHoHo Readathon but I’m definitely inspired to get some Christmas reading done. How great that you have a lot in common with your swap partner. That always makes those things so much more fun! Have a great week!
