Weekly Rewind: November 16-29

The Weekly Rewind is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

snow 11-16-14
We had our first measurable snow two weeks ago and again the day before Thanksgiving. I don’t remember EVER having snow on the ground on Thanksgiving before. It was 60 yesterday, so that’s gone now.

It’s been a little slow around here lately, but I don’t consider myself in a blogging slump, just an internet slump. I’ve been working a lot and when I get home, I haven’t even been going near the computer until later when I don’t have time to get to everything I want to do. I have a lot of post ideas and I’ve been reading (so I need to review), but I don’t feel like sitting here and writing them. That’s okay, though. Everyone needs a break and I have been working on some Blog Ahead posts.

Blog Ahead

As I state in my signup post, I started November with two pre-scheduled posts. I’m ending November with 19 scheduled posts. Some of them aren’t quite finished yet, but most are. I’m hoping to do a couple more tonight, but I’m working today so I don’t know if I’ll get any more done.

I consider Blog Ahead a great success and I plan to keep it up. I’m going to love having a cushion of posts in December so that if I get busy — and it’s December so that’s a guarantee! — I don’t have to think about if I have any posts written for the week. I do. I might not have quite as many as I would like, but my blog won’t go without updating for a week and I won’t have to rush the night before to finish up a post.

  1. I totally know what about mean about being in an internet slump. I’ve usually got my posts prepped for the entire week on the Saturday before, but lately I’ve just been prepping my Sunday Post/Stacking the Shelves and I totally forget about the other posts. I don’t know why! Hope you’re able to get back into the groove soon!

  2. That’s a great pic, we got snow for Thanksgiving too but not as much as we got the week before. Ours is mostly gone too now. Your review books look good and I hope the holiday anthology is good- I’ve seen that around and am curious about it, it sounds fun.

  3. I have a few more scheduled than before the challenge but not the 30 we were supposed to. But one is better than none so I feel it was worthwhile.

  4. Wow you had snow already! Here we got some cold weather, but no snow yet. Congrats on the progress you made with Blog Ahead, I also participated and am really happy with the progress I made. This challenge certainly motivated me to try to keep ahead.

  5. I’ve been seeing Since You’ve Been Gone all over the place. Might need to give it a go.
I’m also trying to blog ahead. Had a bit of down time when I moved my blog but in between decorating for Christmas today, I’ve been working on more December posts.
Our snow on the Gulf Coast is cotton balls. They just finished harvesting it and it’s all over along the sides of the roads. I make Southern Snowball Christmas Ornaments with it. LOL

  6. I now have the Kelly Clarkson song in my head. 🙂 I love the idea of the 30 blog posts done ahead of time, I just wish I had time to do them, November wasn’t good because of NaNoWriMo. But it looks like you did good, 19 is pretty great in my book! You can check out my Sunday post in the link below.

  7. Snow! It’s crazy how many places are getting snow so early. I definitely want to do BlogAhead next year though I’m hoping to make more of an effort to get more posts written in the mean time. Have a great week and enjoy your new books!
