Weekly Rewind: September 21-October 4

The Weekly Rewind is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

It’s October and you know what that means: postseason baseball!

Dearest Neighbors...The Cardinals are playing

After a couple of days of rain, the weather has turned colder. We had to turn on our heat Friday night, but it’s off again now. It’s supposed to be in the 70s most of this week. I think I have finally picked the last of the tomatoes and the peppers. I had planned to leave the peppers on the plant a little longer, but it didn’t look good after Friday night’s cold temperatures so I went ahead and picked the peppers that were large enough. We’ll see if the small ones make it through or not.

I was sick this week and missed two days of work. I’m feeling better now but get slightly panicky when I feel like I might have a sore throat at times.

  2. Our heat is on too, we’ve been in the 40’s the last couple of days. Supposed to warm up a little this week though… My Year of Epic rock sounds like a good MG read.

  4. We had a blast of cooler weather this weekend too. Windy and 60s on Saturday. Today is calm, clear skies, and already 70. Looks like a good for reading on the deck with a glass of tea. I spy a couple of books there I’m wanting to check out too. Thanks for sharing and I hope you feel better.

  5. I really like the new books you received. I love the covers and the stories sound really interesting. It’s still in the high 90’s here so I can’t wait for it get cooler (even 80 would be great lol). I hope you are feeling better. There have been people at my work sick so I also get worried once my throat feels sore. It’s time to stock up on vitamins and airborne! I hope you feel better and gave a great week!

  6. Enjoy postseason baseball. No matter how strong the Braves play in regular season by the end they start playing like they all have vacation plans in October that they don’t want to miss. It’s maddening! The Cardinals are kind of my 2nd team because I have so many friends who root for them so now that the braves are out of commission I can root for them. I hate being sick so I hope you’re feeling better! Have a great week!

    • I get so frustrated when a team seems to give up in September! The Cardinals do that a lot when they clinch their playoff spot. I can understand wanting to give the best players a little time to rest and recover and prepare for the playoffs, but at the same time, people paid good money for those tickets and don’t want to see a minor league team play. And sometimes too much rest makes them lazy.
