Weekly Rewind: October 5 – 11

The Weekly Rewind is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

My husband and I are celebrating our 12th wedding anniversary today. We had hoped to go to Six Flags Fright Fest for the weekend but scrapped those plans when we saw the weather forecast: rain. Saturday actually would have been okay, but we had important baseball plans that night.

The Walking Dead returns tonight! I’ve been waiting for what seems like forever for it and I’m really excited.

@ rather be reading ya
It was a slow week around here due to laziness and my DVR. I’ve been recording a lot of (mostly bad) horror movies and suddenly discovered that my DVR was filling up fast. It might have had something to do with the fourteen movies I recorded last weekend…

The winner of the My TBR List meme for October was Not a Drop to Drink by Mindy McGinnis.

I’ll post my review on October 25, and hopefully I’ll be on time this month — unlike last month.

    • Thank you! Ooh, I didn’t know It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown was on this week already. I’ll have to look for it. I love it! I’m really looking forward to ParaNorman later in the month. I think it’s on the 27th.

  5. Thanks! Some of them were so bad that I ended up DNFing them, but I’m trying to watch most of them. My DVR is down to 90% full now so I think I have room for the 3 shows I have to record tonight.

  6. Happy Anniversary!! Too bad the weather ruined your plans. I’ve always wanted to go to Fright Fest so hopefully you can try again this month. I’ve also been watching a lot of TV. There are so many good shows now. I love Roxanne St. Claire’s Barefoot Sands series and I didn’t know she writes YA. I’m adding her book to my TBR. Have a great week!

    • Thanks! We probably won’t get a chance to go later in the month because I work most weekends and it’s an overnight trip for us. We’ve been before though, so it’s not a big deal. We like to go to haunted houses locally and we haven’t done that much yet this year. Maybe next weekend!

I haven’t read Roxanne St. Claire yet but I’m looking forward to They All Fall Down. It comes out tomorrow. My spot on the blog tour isn’t for a couple of weeks yet.

  8. I’m constantly running a race with my DVR! I like so many shows that it’s pretty much always on the verge of being full but I’m still trying to record new shows. Happy anniversary to you and your husband! Enjoy your new books! I’m curious about They All Fall Down. That’s quite a cover! Have a great week!

    • My DVR got up to 98% full at one point this weekend! I have some shows I recorded over the summer than I really need to watch. I have 9 episodes of Rookie Blue, 12 of Defiance, and 13 of Falling Skies. If I could get through those I would have a lot more space. I don’t know why I’ve been saving them up for so long. Then there’s Cedar Cove. I missed the first episode of the second season and never did find a rerun. I’ll probably just end up deleting them and hope that the show ends up on Netflix before season 3 starts…if there’s a season 3? I don’t even know.
