See those blurry orange things near the middle of the picture? Carrots!

I have a bunch of peppers, but haven’t picked any yet. I pulled the green beans out and I think my squash is almost done for the year. The strawberries are growing really well, but none of them ever ripen anymore. My tomatoes haven’t been producing much lately either. I think it’s just been too cool. If it stays like this, I’m going to be planting my fall lettuce soon.

I also received two copies of Playing With Matches by Suri Rosen, which I will be giving away as part of my stop on the blog tour next month. Unread copies, as I’ll be reading it on my Kindle for my review.

swag 08/02/14

And…some swag! Cheyanne Young/Amy Sparling sent these signed bookmarks — and look at her pretty envelope. Also, she has what is possibly the most awesome return address ever. I’m obviously not going to give you her address, but trust me. It’s so very Texas.

Snape stamp

Oh, also, her stamp: Snape! How did I not know there are HARRY POTTER STAMPS? Apparently they were released last November, so I just haven’t been paying attention. I’m going to have to get some because I NEED that one of Bellatrix. And the Hedwig one too.

Currently Reading: Some Boys by Patty Blount

  2. Yay carrots! I’ve never had any luck with them but I’m glad to see you have. Harry Potter stamps??? Didn’t know that was a thing. Now I want some though I’m not sure I remember the last time I actually used a stamp! Have a great week!

    • I actually still pay most of my bills through the mail, but I usually just get whatever generic stamps there are. I don’t go looking at all the fancy designs. I might have to start doing that. Who knows what else I’ve missed.

  4. Nice review of The Family Romanov. We don’t learn much about Russian history (or at least we didn’t in my school) and it’s a fascinating subject. I always think it’s interesting (and sad) to read about the rulers living these privileged lives while the common people struggle. It looks like this would be a very good read.

    Have a great week!

  5. The Choice looks interesting. I haven’t read any Amish books yet, but I’ll be curious to see what you think. And Harry Potter Stamps! No way… I so missed them coming out. Must buy some now! Thanks for the link 🙂 Have a great week!
