Weekly Rewind: July 13-19

The Weekly Rewind is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Yesterday when I got home, my husband called me out to the garden to show me what he found: a pepper! It’s our first pepper, but we have several more blooms that we hope will turn into peppers soon. The green beans have started blooming again too.

I’m in a mini blogging slump, mostly because I’ve been too tired to really do anything after work. I’ve been taking naps all week and when I wake up, I don’t feel like sitting at the computer. I have a ton of reviews to catch up with so I’ll be working on that soon.

Reviews: Summer on the Short Bus by Bethany Crandell (2 stars)

Other Posts: Top Ten Tuesday: Favorite TV Shows, Waiting on Wednesday: Welcome to the Dark House

I’m participating in the Throne of Glass Series Readalong on Goodreads, although I’m not doing very well. I’m supposed to be starting chapter 27 tomorrow. I’m on chapter 4. Hopefully I can catch up.

I’ve been wanting to read Anna and the French Kiss, so I’ve signed up for the Happily Ever After Readalong.

  1. Woo for the first pepper :3 Congrats! Is that even the right word? 😛

I really like the look of Mary! The cover looks so creepy! :3 From the Wreckage also looks pretty good too! I look forward to your thoughts on them! 🙂

Thanks for sharing & I hope you enjoy all of your books!

    • I was starting to think we weren’t going to have any peppers, so I was happy when the plant finally started blooming.

This will be the second Bloody Mary book I’ve read this summer. I hope it’s as good as the other one.

  2. I am sooo jealous of your garden!! Don’t worry about the blogging slump. I know how that feels. I am supposed to be working on the blog this weekend with Bloggiesta and just didn’t get into it this time around.

  3. Congrats on your garden! I’ve just got out of my blogging slump, so I know how you feel! I’ve never read any books about Bloody Mary but I have seen enough movies and heard enough whispers about the bathrooms at school to have been freaked out about her tale. I kinda want to read it now, though! Great post and I hope you get out of your slump soon! 🙂

I don’t have green fingers but congrats on the first pepper!

Hope the tiredness will pass soon, I know what it’s like to be tired all the time. It’s no fun 🙁

  5. Congratulations on your garden! I can’t grow anything so I’m jealous!! I completely understand how tired you feel! After working all day on a computer it is hard to come home to do stuff for the blog. And I also have some reviews to work on so that adds to the difficulty of creating other posts. But we just do what we can =) I hope this week is more relaxing for you! Heiress, P.I. looks like a fun read, I’m looking forward to your review. Have a great week!

    • I work in a restaurant so I’m on my feet all the time. When I come home I want to sit back and relax. I’m working my way out of the slump, and I’ll probably just skip reviewing some of the books that I don’t remember a lot of the details.

    • Free books are so easy to pick up! I don’t feel like I have to read them as fast because I didn’t pay anything for them, so I usually don’t actually get around to them. But if all authors suddenly stop publishing, I’ll still have plenty to read.
