Waiting on Wednesday: Breathe, Annie, Breathe

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking the Spine.

Breathe, Annie, Breathe by Miranda KenneallyBreathe, Annie, Breathe (Hundred Oaks #5) by Miranda Kenneally
Publication date: July 15, 2014

Annie hates running. No matter how far she jogs, she can’t escape the guilt that if she hadn’t broken up with Kyle, he might still be alive. So to honor his memory, she starts preparing for the marathon he intended to race.

But the training is even more grueling than Annie could have imagined. Despite her coaching, she’s at war with her body, her mind—and her heart. With every mile that athletic Jeremiah cheers her on, she grows more conflicted. She wants to run into his arms…and sprint in the opposite direction. For Annie, opening up to love again may be even more of a challenge than crossing the finish line.

I’ve only read the first of the Hundred Oaks books, so it’s probably going to be awhile before I get to this one, but I’m really looking forward to it because I’m a runner. I think I’ll be able to relate to it a little better than to Kenneally’s other sports books.

  1. I’ve only read the first one too (Catching Jordan, I think?) but I did like it! I didn’t realise we were up to five books already, it’s going to take me a while to catch up as well! Do like the sound of this one though, so will be adding it to my TBR. Great pick!

  5. This looks so good. I have never heard of this one before so I will have to add it to the wishlist too. I think a lot of people will be able to empathize with the story! I hope you get your hands on it soon! 🙂
