Dangerous Creatures by Kami Garcia & Margaret StohlDangerous Creatures by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl
Publication date: May 20, 2014

Ridley Duchannes will be the first to tell you that she’s a bad girl. She’s Dark. She’s a Siren. You can never trust her, or even yourself when she’s around. Lucky for her, Wesley “Link” Lincoln can never seem to remember that; quarter Incubus or not, his heart is Mortal when it comes to Ridley. When Link heads to New York City to start a music career, Ridley goes along for the ride-and she has her own reasons. As if leaving small-town Gatlin for the big city, trying to form a band, and surviving life with a partially reformed Siren isn’t hard enough already, Link soon learns he has a price on his head that no Caster or Mortal can ever pay.

Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl, the #1 New York Times bestselling coauthors of Beautiful Creatures, are back and casting another magical spell. Their signature mixture of mystery, suspense, and romance, along with a dash of fun and danger, will pull fans in and leave them begging for more.

Dangerous Creatures is the first book in a spinoff series of the Beautiful Creatures series. I recently read the prequel novella Dangerous Dream and it really made me long for Dangerous Creatures. I’m glad I waited to read Dangerous Dream so that I didn’t have as much time between reading it and Dangerous Creatures. I’ll be listening to the audiobook, the way I have with all of the Beautiful Creatures books, so I’m hoping to be finished with my current audiobook and ready to go on May 20.

  1. I do want to read this series, but first I need to finish the Beautiful Creatures one first! I also really liked Link and Ridley, so I’m thrilled they’re getting their own books.

  4. I’ve got an ARC of this, I need to read it. I hope it’s better than Beautiful Creatures… as much as I liked the first book and maybe the second it seemed to fizzle out towards the end. I dunno, fingers crossed!

Great pick, thanks for sharing & feel free to pop in and say hello 🙂

  8. I’ve only read Beautiful Creatures but I have to say that Ridley was definitely my favorite character in that book so I definitely understand your need for this one!

    • Since I didn’t love Ridley in BC, I’m not sure I’ll stick with the series, but I at least want to give it a try. I didn’t mind her in Dangerous Dream, so I’m hoping I’ll feel the same way with this book.
