Easter

Happy Easter!

I’ve thrown in the towel on Project 365. I think this is the earliest I’ve ever quit, but I haven’t picked up my camera all week. I might as well just give up. I’ll still post photos if I have anything interesting to share. I’m just not even going to pretend I’ll be taking one a day anymore.

I did okay last week, but this wasn’t a great week for me, reading-wise or blog-wise. I’m reading two books and I’m really struggling with both of them. I’m almost done with one, but I’m only about halfway through the other. I’m either going to start skimming or I’m going to DNF it. The problem is, I do want to know what happens in the end. I’m just…bored.

Reviews: Last week I posted Annie on My Mind (review & giveaway) by Nancy Garden for LGBT month. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to read another LGBT book this week, and next week isn’t looking good either, so it looks like my participation in LGBT month is over. Don’t forget to enter my Annie on My Mind giveaway though!

Other Posts: Last Tuesday I posted the second in my podcast series, all about Game of Thrones podcasts. I’ve started listening to even more since that post, so expect an update soonish.

Last Thursday I posted my Throwback Thursday Girls of Canby Hall recap/review on the eleventh book in the series With Friends Like and this Thursday I posted on the twelfth book, Who’s the New Girl? I really need to get ahead with these books again so that I will at least have that post pre-scheduled each week instead of rushing the night before.

On Friday I wrote about my first visit to a bookstore in over a year.

  1. I’ve had some trouble with reading this week as well. I’ve been struggling through a book for two weeks now and finally decided to just DNF it. I did read another book this week, so i wa shappy to have gotten some reading done. It’s so frustrating when a book is boring, but you do want to know what happens. You got some great looking books this week, I hope you enjoy them!
    And Happy Easter!

  4. Hope your books get better- I’ve been reading a few that have been OK but not grabbing me, so I picked up something new and it jumpstarted me a bit. Although to be fair my reading time has been limited, so maybe I’m just not getting into the books enough to know. Anyway looks like you got some good new stuff… and nice post on your bookstore visit too. πŸ™‚

    Happy Easter!

  6. No point continuing with something if it becomes a chore, and it sounds like that with the 365 project. At the end, we all have our life and it doesn’t stop, so much to do πŸ™‚ so don’t feel bad. I recognise quite a few of the books you have purchased, I haven’t been in a book shop now for… like… 4 weeks I think.
    Happy Easter to you.
Have a great week and Happy Reading.
