Weekly Rewind: February 23 – March 1

The Weekly Rewind is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Yesterday was my birthday and I had planned to visit my mom for the weekend. I ended up canceling my trip because of the ice and snow that’s expected today. We had a few warm days last week and it was almost like winter was over. Nope.

I have a lot to do today, so I’m going to have to hold off on posting my Project 365 photos for the week. This section will return next week.

Rainy Day Ramblings offers some advice for beginning bloggers.

Crazy Red Pen talks about keeping up with social media. I’ve said before that I’m terrible with social media. I don’t use Facebook except for games. I barely remember to check Twitter, although I’ve been better about it lately. I only use Goodreads for keeping track of my books, not for the social part. I post links to my review to Tumblr and Pinterest, but don’t use them often for anything else.

Between My Lines confesses that there’s a lot of pressure in hosting a giveaway. On that note, have you entered the Blindness giveaway yet?

Book.Blog.Bake. is a one-sitting reader. I can’t do that. I am easily distracted and I’ll think of 100 other things I “have” to do.

  1. I am awful with Twitter, but I use my FB a lot more. Hope you have a fantastic week ahead. Happy reading.

  2. I loved Fire Country! I hope you enjoy it too, it’s such an original and enjoyable dystopia book. I have seen Fire and Flood a lot around the blogosphere, but I don’t think it’s a book for me. I haven’t heard about any of the other books you got this week.
I love social media and am especially active on twitter. I also have Facebook, Goodreads, Google+ and Pinterest accounts.

  3. Happy birthday! Hope it’s a great one. I’m terrible at Twitter too, mainly it seems like I never have time (or make time) to get on there enough. Looks like you got some good new books. The Here and Now sounds pretty good.

    • Thank you! Yes, there’s only so much time and so many things to do. Sometimes I remember to open Twitter but I get busy with other tabs and forget to actually USE it. Ann Brashares is a bit hit-and-miss for me, but I’m hoping The Here and Now is good.

  4. Firstly – Happy belated Birthday! I do like the look of Creep and The Killing Woods, both sound like my cup of tea. Will check out Crazy Red Pen’s post on social media. I do have FB, Twitter, Goodreads etc. Facebook mainly to keep in touch with family who live abroad. It all does got too much sometimes and its hard to find the time for all of them. I prefer to read and browse blogs rather than Twitter feeds.
Have a great week and Happy Reading!

    • Thanks! I don’t read many adult books anymore, but Creep is the type of book that I used to read all the time. It sounds really good, so maybe I’ll get back into that genre with it. I still have quite a few of those books that I never got around to reading.
