2013 Reading Challenges: Final Update

One of my first posts on my blog was about the reading challenges I had signed up for earlier in the year a Goodreads group. I didn’t really keep up with the challenges once I got really into blogging, but as the year came to an end, I went back to them and filled in the gaps.

Let’s see how I did:

01. 50 States or Countries Challenge Completed: 33/50

This one is pretty hard for two reasons. First, so many books are set in unspecified cities or states, and sometimes when there is a real setting, it’s not listed on Goodreads. If I didn’t rememeber to put it in its slot when I read it, I might have skipped over it because I couldn’t easily find its setting months later. Second, there are so many states (especially those in flyover country) that don’t as much love and when I do find a book set there, it doesn’t always sound interesting to me. I’m going to continue working on this one and I hope that I can finish it up in 2014.

If you have any suggestions for states I haven’t read, even those where I have something listed, please leave a comment.
