Weekly Rewind: September 22 – 28

The Weekly Rewind is my version of The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

I got a promotion at work! Our general manager is leaving, so I am finally moving up. To celebrate, I bought some new nail polish: Boxer Shorts by Essie. I love Essie but I try not to spend $8 for a bottle of nail polish very often. It’s a light periwinkle creme, my favorite kind of polish. I can’t find it on Essie’s site anymore but you can see the bottle and a swatch at The Queen of the Nail (second swatch on that page). It looks more blue in the picture but more purple on me.

In news from my garden, my spinach is finally starting to look like spinach. I believe my plastic owls are doing their job. I haven’t noticed any new digging this week. The peas and lettuce are looking good. I have had to put more sticks into the pea containers so they will have something to climb. They are trying to climb each other now, but every day I gently nudge them over and help them cling to the sticks. One day they will get it.

Reviews: Just Like Fate by Cat Patrick and Suzanne Young, Going Long by Ginger Scott, and Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

On Tuesday I got a little bit flaily thanks to Ashen Winter by Mike Mullin and then veered completely off topic thanks to Maggie Stiefvater, The Cranberries, and Kelly Clarkson in my Top Ten Tuesday’s Best Sequels Ever post.

On Thursday I did a post linking to clothing and accessories related to books. Christmas is coming; maybe you can find a gift for your best book-loving friend there.
