Top Ten Books On My Fall 2013 TBR List

To be honest, I don’t really look that far ahead. Sometimes I find an upcoming release on a Waiting on Wednesday post, but a lot of times people are waiting on a second or third book in a series and I haven’t read the first one. I’ll go back and pick up the series at the start, but I have to read that one first before I know whether I’ll want to read the one that isn’t out yet. Even when I read ARC reviews, I don’t pay much attention to the release date. Unless it’s written by an author I love and follow already or I’m very, very MUST HAVE THIS BOOK interested, I’ll put it on my Goodreads TBR and forget about it until it’s out or almost out. It took me a while, and some digging on Goodreads, to come up with this list.

01. Where the Stars Still Shine by Trish Doller (September 24, 2013)

02. Made of Stars by Kelley York (October 1, 2013)

03. Backward Glass by David Lomax (October 8, 2013)

04. Allegiant by Veronica Roth (October 22, 2013)

05. The Dollhouse Asylum by Mary Gray (October 22, 2013)

06. Unbreathable by Hafsah Laziaf (October 29, 2013)

07. The Naturals by Jennifer Lynn Barnes (November 5, 2013)

08. Pirouette by Robin Bavati (November 8, 2013)

09. Ink is Thicker Than Water by Amy Spalding (December 3, 2013)

10. These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner (December 10, 2013)

  1. I’m exactly the same as you! I just add books to my TBR list and forget about them! I’ll only dig through the list when I have nothing to read 🙁

The cover of These Broken Stars is really stunning and I’m looking forward to reading it!

    • I probably would have overlooked These Broken Stars if the cover wasn’t so pretty. It’s funny, I never used to be interested in books because of their covers. I just wasn’t paying attention to them. Now I see them all the time because of my own blog and reading other blogs and I’m drawn to a nice cover.

      • I think that cover is a really important marketing tool in attracting readers to a book. And I guess it’s another way of interaction with the book:)

  2. Some great books. I have The Naturals and Where the Stars still Shine on my list too.

  3. Made of Stars is going to be AMAZING, I can just feee~l it 🙂 The Dollhouse Asylum looks like something I’d enjoy – dark and crazy. I’m also super curious about Allegiant. Can’t wait to see how things will end *crosses her fingers for a decent ending*

  4. I’m also really looking forward to Unbreathable, The Naturals, & Allegiant! I thought both Where the Stars Still Shine and These Broken Stars were fantastic. Maybe books with the word “star” in the title just BEG to be good?

  5. Backward Glass looks interesting. Have fun with your fall reads!
