Feature & Follow Friday #2

Feature & Follow is a weekly blog hop hosted by Alison Can Read and Parajunkee.

[Yesterday was] the US’ Independence Day. Share your favorite book with a war in it, or an overthrow of the government.

I almost skipped this week because I’m don’t consider myself a fan of war books (or movies, for that matter), but then I started reading some of the other F&F posts and I realized how many books I’ve read — and liked — that have wars in them. I guess I just don’t think of them as war books, even though sometimes they are.

I almost picked The Hunger Games, until I remembered DUH my favorite books ever are about this very topic! I love the entire Tomorrow When the War Began series by John Marsden, so I’m selecting that AND the followup series The Ellie Chronicles. I was really into audiobooks at the time I discovered them, so I listened to them (but I do have them on my Kindle now). I loved that narrator.
